Our Client and their challenge:
Garden Light Shop, a subsidiary of electrical wholesaler, Contact Electrical Distributors Ltd, is the UK’s only dedicated provider of Techmar garden lighting ranges. Offering high quality products at reasonable prices in addition to their garden lighting design service, Garden Light Shop needed to make people aware of their offering and drive online sales.
Having experimented with paid search in the past Garden Light Shop had struggled to get it work effectively but still felt it could be a good solution. They contacted Big Group to run a three-month trial to see whether paid could achieve the results they believed were possible.
Our Process and Solution:
Big Group undertook a thorough review of the existing PPC campaigns to understand what had been tried previously. Using this information combined with Big Group’s extensive experience, a new paid search strategy was devised that included:
- Paid search
- Remarketing through display network
- Google shopping
All the campaigns continue to be closely managed and regularly reported on by Big Group
The Result and the Impact:
The campaign has seen phenomenal results with a Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS) of 424.93% across all paid channels, and an incredible ROAS of 523.59% on paid search alone.
The paid campaign has given Garden Light Shop their best months for online revenue to date and with over 5.6 million impressions and 71,568 clicks achieved in the past 7 months, the campaign has not only driven revenue but also raised brand awareness.
Having seen how successful paid search could be for them, Garden Light Shop have now commissioned Big Group to run paid search campaigns for their newest online store – Secure Home Shop.
